Champagne Grapes

{tiny, supersweet and juicy}

ChampagneGrapesResized

To my taste, these Lilliputian grapes of almost dollhouse proportions in neat full bunches appearing now in specialty produce markets everywhere are the most fun grapes to eat of all. Tiny, bursting with sweet juice and begging to be popped into the mouth in bunches, gently stripped off their stems, these grapes are not used to make champagne but their festive nature makes them worthy of the name. And when frozen, as they are in the accompanying recipe, they seem to be even more intensely sweet and delicious. Try them while they last. By the way, a great source for these is www.melissas.com who will ship these anywhere in the country and you can be assured that they will arrive in pristine condition.
